Everyone is dispensed from the obligation to attend Holy Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation until November 1. This dispensation concludes at 11:59pm on November 1 and does not include the Saturday Vigil Mass for November 2.
We have returned to our normal Daily Mass, Adoration and Confession schedules.
The parish office has resumed its normal schedule from 8:00am-5:00pm Monday thru Friday.
Holy Water will not be in the fonts. However, you may take Holy Water from the tank if you so desire.
There will be no congregational singing and chanting by clergy is suspended. Certain parts of the Mass will be chanted by the cantor and are not to be joined by the congregation.
The collection basket is placed at the foot of the altar for you to place your offering either before or after Mass.
The Sign of Peace is suspended until further notice.
The Precious Blood will not be distributed at Mass until further notice.
Per Diocesan instruction, those wishing to receive the Eucharist on the tongue are requested to wait until the end of Holy Communion, limiting possible virus transmission. This is requested as an act of charity toward your brothers and sisters in the assembly.
Social Distancing of 6-feet has been taken into consideration and thus limits the occupancy of persons in the church. Family members can sit together.
In accord with the order issued from the City of Fishers Health Department, beginning July 24, 2020 at 8:00am, face masks will be required for all Masses and all indoor activities. This order is currently in effect until Sept. 4, 2020. Please read HERE to learn about the mandate and the studies they used to make the decision.
Saturday 4:30pm Mass
The Saturday 4:30pm Vigil Mass at SJV will be specifically for those who are vulnerable to protect them from unnecessary interaction with the healthier/non-vulnerable population.
Social distancing of 6-feet will be in place for households. Face masks are available upon entrance to the church for those who need them.
There will be no music at this Mass.
This Mass will be live streamed online at the St. John Vianney Catholic Church YouTube channel accessible via sjvfishers.com.
